Islamic epistemology is derived from the Quran and Sunnah and not science. It is from the Quran and Sunnah alone that we derive, for instance, when to pray and how to pray. Science has yet to acknowledge the ultimate truth – the existence of Allah. Science may attribute the death of a person to a medical cause, while Islam ultimately attributes death to the Almighty Allah as a manifestation of divine Providence.
