THE EID HILAAL
THE MUJLISUL ULAMA OF S.A. HEREBY MAKES THE UNDER MENTIONED TWO ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE OF THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY:
ONE
Reliable links have been established with Ulama of the following neighbouring countries: Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The vast majority of these Ulama have graduated from Darul Ulooms in South Africa.
Mujlisul Ulama shall be accepting information regarding the hilaal and Eid celebration from any one of these countries in the event there is no confirmed hilaal sighting in South Africa.
On receiving such confirmation, the Mujlisul Ulama shall, Insha-Allah, make the necessary announcement regarding the celebration of Eid tomorrow, Thursday 1st Shawwaal, 13 May 2021.

The Muslim community is reminded that it is not permissible to accept announcements made by Fussaaq and Zanaadaqah. The NNB jamiat (i.e. the so-called JUSA), UUCSA, MJC and similar outfits are in terms of the Shariah Mardoodush Shahaadah. The testimony of these miscreant bodies is totally unreliable, hence it is not permissible for Muslims to follow their announcements.
