SHAHAADAT!
QUESTION
Please comment on the passing away of Maulana Tootla of Stanger. It is reported that he died of the corona virus. We are hearing conflicting opinions. What is the Shariah’s view?
ANSWER
Alhamdulillah! Maulana Tootla Sahib died as a Shaheed (Martyr). Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:
“The Plague is Athaab or Shahaadat.”
For the pious servants of Allah Ta’ala, death in a plague is a wonderful Ni’mat. It is Shahaadat. It is a one-way ticket not only to Jannat, but to the loftiest mansions above Jannatul Firdaus where the Ambiya, Siddiqeen and the Shuhada dwell.
Hadhrat Muaaz Bin Jabal (Radhiyallahu) made special dua for him and his family to die in the Plague of Amwaas. Allah Ta’ala accepted his Dua. Thus it is Shahaadat, Bliss, Happiness and Allah’s Pleasure all the way for the pious Mu’mineen who die in the Plague.
As for the Zindeeqs and the Munaafiqs in our midst, if any of these khanaazeer perish in a plague, it will be a one-way ticket to Darkul Asfal Minan Naar (the Lowest department in the dregs of Hell-Fire).
