QUESTION
What is the status of Moulana Tariq Jamil according to the Shariah? We have heard and read much of this Moulana who is said to be from Deoband. There is a lot of confusion regarding him. Please clear this confusion. We have not seen any statement from UUCSA as yet. ANSWER
The Senior Ulama of Pakistan, who are all of Deobandi maslak, have condemned Tariq Jamil. Although Tariq Jamil studied at a Deobandi Darul Uloom in Pakistan, he has drifted far from Siraatul Mustaqeem. He has decidedly very corrupt views. Some of his statements are kufr.
