THE ILL-FATED MARRIAGE CONFERENCE DEBACLE –
A DISPASSIONATE ANALYSIS AND THE FATWA OF THE SHARIAH
Much has been said, done, blared and written on this issue. It is imperative to understand the consequences of this deplorable debacle. It is better to understand the exceptionally evil consequences and to make appropriate amends before the supreme Day of Accounting – the Day of Qiyaamah when nothing will benefit those who had lost their Imaan. It is essential to understand the following facts for setting right the relationship with Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala:
1) Mocking or making a joke of any teaching of Islam regardless of how insignificant such teaching may appear, is kufr. This is a unanimous Fatwa of all the authorities of all the Math-habs. The effect of kufr is IRTIDAAD which means to turn one’s back on Islam – to renege – to renounce the Deen whether overtly or covertly, whether knowingly or unknowingly. Ignorance of the Law of Allah is not an excuse for saving oneself from the Fatwa of kufr. Understand well, that the one who mocks any aspect of Islam is a MURTAD.
