Question
Is it proper for me, a layman, to study the writings of Sayed Qutib, Hassan Banna, Maududi and Jalaluddin Afghani?
Answer
Syed Qutub was not a follower of any Math-hab. Avoid reading his writings. He was not a follower of the Sunnah. The same applies to Hassan Banna, Maudoodi and Afghaani.
