Is it permissible to delay the Sunnatul Muakkadah Salaat for an hour or two but it will be made before expiry of the time of the Salaat?

It is not permissible to delay the Sunnatul Muakkadah Salaat for even a few minutes, even if one wishes to recite the Qur'aan Majeed in the interval. It is not permissible to delay the Sunnatul Muakkadah Salaat unnecessarily. After the Fardh Salaat, it is mandatory to engage almost immediately in the Sunnat Salaat attached to the Fardh Salaat. The Fardh and Sunnatul Muakkadah Salaat may be separated by only a brief Dua.
