Is it permissible for a man to have a precious stone in his silver ring?

Answer

Although it is permissible, it is not advisable for men to wear such rings. Precious stones are for females. In fact, even though jewellery is permissible for women, it is nevertheless, discouraged in the Hadith. Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) would forbid his wives from wearing jewellery.
