Daily I feed numerous wild pigeons with sorghum. I was told that it is not permissible to feed the birds with this grain because it is the main ingredient in making beer.
Answer
Sorghum is a grain, hence it is halaal. Since it is the main ingredient of beer, it will not be permissible to sell it to people who manufacture beer. But, it is perfectly permissible to feed the pigeons with it.
