Is burning lobaan in the house and Musjid Sunnat?

Answer

It is permissible to burn lobaan (incense) in the Musjid and the home. There is reference to it in the Hadith. However, since the people of bid'ah have made it a Waajib practice, we have discontinued it. It may be burnt on any day whether in the Musjid or in the house. But in places where burning lobaan in the Musjid has become a salient feature of the Grave-Worshippers, it should not be adopted.
