Question
I am selling a vehicle. The windscreem has an extremely fine crack whih is barely visible. I tell the client to examine the car before he buys it. Without a close examination the crack is not visible. Is it permissible to sell the vehicle without informing the buyer of this fine crack crack?
Answer
It is Waajib to inform the prospective buyer of the small crack in the windscreen. The crack is an a'ib (defect), which must be declared. In this particular case, you have to inform the buyer in view of the fact that even if he examines the vehicle, he will not notice the crack.
