Question
If the Imaam is a Hanafi, what should the Shaafi followers do when he makes Sajdah Tilaawat when it is not a Sajdah for the Shaafis, and what is the ruling vice versa?
Answer
The Hanafi muqtadis will follow the Shaafi' Imaam in making Sajdah even if according to the Hanafi Math-hab the aayat is not a Sajdah Tilaawat verse. However, if the Imaam is a Hanafi, then Shaafi' muqtadis may not follow him in making Sajdah if it is not a Sajdah aayat according to the Shaafi' Math-hab. Shaafi' muqtadis should remaining standing.
