If the Muslim workers at a non-Muslim restaurant say that the food served is halaal, will it be permissible to eat there?

Question

If the Muslim workers at a non-Muslim restaurant say that the food served is halaal, will it be permissible to eat there?

Answer

It is not permissible to consume the meat products of the non-Muslim restaurants even if the Muslim employees claim it to be halaal. Their priority is to safeguard their jobs. Over the decades that we have examined the meat industry, we have found massive cover-ups perpetrated by the organizations which certify the carrion.
