When performing Salaat behind an Imaam, should one recite the Takbeer?
Answer
When performing Salaat, whether alone or behind an Imaam, the Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) should be recited silently. Reciting the first Takbeer (Takbeer Tahrimah) is Fardh. The other Takbeers are Sunnat.
