What is the rule regarding postnatal blood?
Answer
Post-natal bleeding is called nifaas. The maximum period for nifaas is 40 days. There is no minimum limit. It could be even a few minutes. During the state of nifaas it is not permissible to perform Salaat, to fast, to recite the Qur'aan and to engage in sexual relations.
