Question
In my country, Ghana, generally the people do not perform the two raka'ts Sunnat after the Fardh of Isha'. We follow the Maaliki Math-hab. What is the ruling of the Maaliki Math-hab regarding these two Sunnat raka'ts?
Answer
Those who do not perform the Sunnat Muakkadah after the Fardh of Isha are in grievous error. It is not permissible to completely abandon this Sunnat Salaat. The two raka'ts Sunnat after the Fardh of Isha are Sunnat Muakkadah according to all four Math-habs.
