Question
Someone is slaughtering a cow for eating purposes. Will Aqeeqah be valid if two shares are purchased in this cow? The other five shares are for eating.
Answer
The Aqeeqah will not be valid. It is necessary for all seven shares to be for ibaadat, e.g. Qur'baani, Sadqah.
