Is it Sunnat to fast on the 27th of Rajab and to congregate in the Musjid for Nafl Salaat, Tilaawat, lectures, etc. on the 27th night?
Answer
It is not Sunnat. It is bid'ah. There is no basis in the Sunnah for fasting on 27th Rajab and for special congregational acts on this night.
