Question
In some places while they sit on the floor to eat, the food is placed on small tables. Is this style of eating in conformity with the Sunnah?
Answer
It is not permissible to put the food on a small table or any raised platform even if sitting on the ground when eating. It is necessary that the food be on the ground. This style is in conflict with the Sunnah.
