Question
A company went into liquidation. In terms of the government's law, the state will pay the salaries of all the employees. Can these workers still hold the company's owners liable for their salaries?
Answer
Since the government in this case is the wakeel (agent) of the company, and it (government) pays the employees, hence they have no right to claim from the owners of the company. The owners are absolved of the liability.
