Is it permissible to vote in elections for these political leaders? The Imaams and Ulama in our country are voting.
Answer
Imaams, Ulama and all Muslims should abstain from voting for political leaders. All of them are involved in making kufr laws – laws in conflict with the Shariah. Voting will be permissible in exceptional circumstances. But, generally Muslims should abstain. The Imaams described by you are deviates who are misleading Muslims. Instead of being guides, they are mudhilleen (those who lead others astray towards Jahannam)
