Nowadays vehicles are fitted with cameras for seeing the rear instead of rear-view mirrors. Is it permissible to look at the pictures of people depicted on these screens?
Answer
Generally there is no need for the camera contraption in vehicles for seeing the rear. However, if the only way of seeing the rear is via the camera pictures, then this will be permissible due to the real need.
