An entity in Durban calling itself ‘Darul Ihsan Islamic Services Centre has organized a soccer tournament at a venue called Al-Falah College. What is really galling is that this entity stipulates that an Alim or an Imam or a Madrasah teacher should accompany the soccer teams. I wish to emphasize that I am not a learned person. I am an ordinary person who may even be labelled a faaasiq. Nevertheless, faasiq I may be, but the evil I see nowadays being peddled in the name of Islam by Ulama and Islamic organizations, makes me cringe with revulsion. Please comment on this soccer tournament which Darul Ihsan Centre is organizing. Is there any scope in Islam for such tournament? lthough the villainy and haraam perpetrated by the frauds masquerading as ‘ulama’ are lamentable, it must be expected. Rasulullah’s predictions have to materialize. The evil kuffaar sport which Darush Shaitaan is organizing in the name of Islam is simply part of the fitnah which will overwhelm Muslims like an “intensely dark night” as mentioned by Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam).
Muslims of healthy Imaan, even if they happen to be faasiqs, do not require any proofs for understanding that Darush Shaitaan with its kuffaar soccer tournament is organizing pure shaitaaniyat and haraam. The worse aspect of its shaitaaniyat is that this evil is presented as an ‘Islamic service’. This presentation too testifies to the truth of Rasulullah’s Nubuwwat. One of the proofs of Nubuwwat is truthful predictions. Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said about these times of corruption and fitnah when the ulama-e-soo’ and munaafiq ‘ulama’ will abound:
“The dunya will be pursued with the amal of the Aakhirat.”
