I buy and sell cars.

Question

I buy and sell cars. I give a car to a dealer who will sell it for me. For example I say that I want R50,000 for the vehicle. He may sell it any price and take whatever is in excess of the R50,000 I have stipulated for myself. Is this transaction permissible? Someone said that it is not permissible.

Answer

The deal is permissible. However, the condition is that there should be no argument/ dispute. The owner should not later claim more if the item was sold at a high price. Q.I have some Ramadhaan qadha fasting to do. I intend fasting the first 9 days of Zil Hijjah. What niyyat should I make?

A. You have to make niyyat of Qadha for the outstanding Fardh days when fasting during these days of Zil Hajj. Qadha takes precedence over Sunnat fasting.
