I am in Sri Lanka and follow the Shaafi‟ Math-hab. Will Qur‟baani of one animal suffice for the whole household?
Answer
According to the Shaafi Math-hab it is permissible for the head of a house to make Qur'baani of one animal on behalf of the entire household. This will not be permissible if the people are not members of the family who are being supported by the head of the house.
