Question
A person travelled from Ladysmith to Dundee which is 45 km. From Dundee he went to Vryheid which is 100 km. Is he a muqeem or a musaafir?
Answer
If the person had made the intention in Ladysmith of travelling to Vryheid, then he will be a musaafir. If he had no such intention in Ladysmith, then in Dundee he will be a Muqeem. But if when leaving Dundee he makes the intention of Vryheid, then he will be musaafir when he leaves Dundee.
