The estate of the deceased has not been finalized even after five years. Does Zakaat have to be paid on the assets in the estate?
Answer
As long as the assets have not been distributed to the heirs, there is no Zakaat payable. When the heirs receive their respective shares, then only are they liable to pay Zakaat.
