Is the custom of dastaarbandi (capping with turban) Sunnat?
Answer
Dastaarbandi is not Sunnat. It has no relationship with the Sunnah. Although it is a practice of the former pious Ulama, it has outlived its utility. It is nowadays an empty custom of riya and takabbur. The Madaaris should discontinue this practice which has become spiritually and morally destructive.
