I use an Athaan clock to wake me up for Fajr. Someone says that it is not permissible. Is it necessary to reply to the Athaan recited by the clock?
Answer
The Athaan clock should not be used to wake you up. Get an ordinary alarm clock. It is disrespectful to the Athaan which has been ordained for the five Fardh Salaat. It is not necessary to reply to the Athaan sounded on a recording.
