How should one perform Salaat in a plane?

There is difference of opinion among the Ulama on this issue. Nevertheless, all unanimously say that Salaat must be performed in the plane. They differ on the issues of validity and repeating the Salaat.

The correct view is that it is compulsory to perform Salaat in its time on the plane. If one is able to stand, then one has to stand. Some planes still do allow standing. Some planes have a small „jamaat khaanah‟.

If standing is not allowed by the kuffaar staff, then perform Salaat even sitting on the seat. Perform as best as is possible. In all cases repeat the Salaat on the ground. If on landing the time has passed, make qadha of the missed Salaat.
