Recently there was an eclipse of the moon. Is there any special Sunnah act for this occasion?
Answer
When there is an eclipse of the moon, two raka'ts Salaat should be performed. It is preferable for the Qiraa't to be as long as possible. Unlike Salaat on the occasion of the eclipse of the sun, the Salaat on the occasion of the eclipse of the moon is not performed in Jamaa't.
