If one joins the jamaat while the Imaam is in Ruku', will his raka't be valid?
Answer
The first raka‟t will be valid until such time that the latecomer is able to join the Imaam in Ruku‟. He first has to stand and recite Takbeer at least once, then go into ruku‟. If he manages to get the Imaam in ruku‟, his raka‟t will be valid otherwise not.
