A Musjid in Johannesburg is using an electric loudspeaker to project the Athaan in such a manner that people 1 km away can hear. Is this permissible?
Answer
Projecting the Athaan is permissible. It is not permissible to use a loudspeaker for the Salaat and Khutbah.
