Is it permissible to leave an audio recording to play in the house if no one is present?

If nobody is present in the house to listen to the recording, then it will not be permissible to leave the recording to play. It will be disrespectful to the Qur‟aan Majeed. Someone must listen to the recitation even if the recitation is by way of audio. Whether an audio recording is a protection against jinn, we have no certitude in this regard. Nevertheless, it may be beneficial although one should not rely on it. One should not abstain from actual recitation.
