Question
Is it permissible to perform Salaat whilst wearing body armour? With a bullet proof plate carrier vest, the hands are resting on the hard metal plate. Whereas with the kevlar, the hands are tied on the hard kevlar fabric. The kevlar is more flexible. In both cases, the hands are not rested on the body as it would be if one was wearing normal clothes.
Answer
This is permissible. The hands are not placed on a protruding object as mentioned above.
