Question
A musaafir performing Qasr Salaat mistakenly went into the third raka‟t after having recited Tashahhud in Qa‟dah. Realizing his error, he immediately sat down, recited Tashahhud then made Sajdah Sahw. Was his Salaat valid?
Answer
His Salaat is valid. However, there was no need to have recited Tashahhud again. After sitting he should have made Sajdah Sahw. The earlier Tashahhud was sufficient.
