Is it permissible for females to wear rings of mixed metals? If the silver content is 92.5% will the ring be permissible? Can women wear 9ct gold rings?
Answer
Females as well as males are not allowed to wear rings made of any metal other than silver or gold. Men are allowed only silver rings not exceeding 5.3 grams. Gold and silver rings of any weight are permissible for women.
92.5% silver content will be permissible. The whole item is regarded as silver. 9ct gold rings are not permissible. It must be more than 12 ct.
