Question
I wear a jacket which has the logo of a bull. The facial features have been effaced. I wear it because of the good quality and its warmth. Is it permissible?
Answer
It is not permissible to wear any garment on which any kind of logo is inscribed. Logos on clothes are the style of the kuffaar. Wearing such clothes is Tashabbuh bil kuffaar (emulating the kuffaar), and this is haraam. The picture of the bull aggravates the sin. Regardless of the benefit of the jacket, it is not permissible to wear it. Even if the logo consists of mere writing, then too this kaafir style is not permissible.
