On the topic of rizq, Allah ta‟ala has decreed rizq. Should we still make duaa for it or rather concentrate on praising Allah Ta‟ala instead?
Answer
Yes, do make dua for Rizq despite it being a predetermined issue. We cannot fathom the Wisdom of Allah Ta'ala. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) ordered us to make dua for Rizq as well as making effort. The same argument will apply to effort. Dua cultivates humility which is most beloved to Allah Ta'ala.
