Question
A leopard caught the head of a mother baboon in it's fangs, dragging her along while the baby (baboon) was hanging to her bosom, feeling safe and secured (under the impression that the mother is still alive). Will it be meritorious i.e. counted as Zikrullah reflecting over this heart-rending episode (and sympathizing with the helpless baby baboon)?
Answer
Yes, grief over this sad episode is meritorious. There is reward for it as well. Rasulullah (Sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: "The Mu‟min is rewarded for everything, even for the morsel of food he lifts and offers it to his wife."
