Question
I have a pet dog. I have been told that it is haraam to keep a dog as a pet. What should I do with the dog? If I turn it out, it will not survive outside in the wilds.
Answer
If a non-Muslim cannot be found to take the dog, then keep it in the yard and continue feeding it until it dies or a non -Muslim takes it. It should not be cast away to fend for itself because it will be zulm on it.
