What is the difference between haraam and makrooh, and fardh and waajib?
Answer
Practically Haraam and Makrooh are the same. The consequence of both Haraam and Makrooh Tahrimi is the Fire of Jahannam. That is, the perpetrators of Haraam and Makrooh are deserving of the punishment of Jahannam.
Fardh and Waajib are practically the same. These terms mean compulsory. The difference in these words is of a technical and academic nature.
