The Imaam announced immediately after the Fardh Salaat to make dua for a deceased lady. He instructed the musallis to recite Surah Ikhlaas thrice. The dua was then made. Is this practice valid?
Answer
The announcement after the Fardh Salaat to make dua for a deceased whether male or female, is bid'ah. The musallis should ignore such announcements.
