Question
In our town Eid Salaat was performed about 5 or 6 minutes after sunrise. One could look directly at the sun with ease. Is our Eid Salaat valid?
Answer
No, your Eid Salaat is not valid. The community has lost the Eid Salaat. The Salaat performed in the Makrooh time becomes a haraam Nafl. Although the Nafl is valid, it is nevertheless Makrooh Tahrimi and sinful. In the unanimous view of the Fuqaha the consequence of Makrooh Tahrimi is the Blazing Fire of Jahannam.
