Question
I am full of remorse for zulm which I had committed on someone who has already died. How can I make amends? What should I do to be saved from Allah's punishment in the grave and in Qiyaamah? What will happen to me when the mazloom (the oppressed one) makes his demand for recompense. I am overwhelmed with fear. Please advise.
Answer
If the opportunity to make amends and acquire forgiveness from the mazloom is lost, then after every Namaaz make dua of Maghfirat for the mazloom. Also give Sadqah in his name, and constantly recite Istighfaar. Insha-Allah, this will save you in the Aakhirat.
