Some persons raised funds for a well for Muslims in India in memory of a non-Muslim work colleague. Is this type of honouring a dead non-Muslim permissible?
Answer
It is haraam. It is not permissible to honour a non-Muslim in any way, whether he is alive or dead. The act of these persons is akin to kufr.
