Question
If the mother is a Sayyid, but not the father, will the children be Sayyids? Can they call themselves Sayyids?
Answer
If the father is not a Sayyid, then the children will not be Sayyid even if the mother is Sayyid. It will not be permissible to say that they are Sayyids.
