Can we perform Salaat in a church if we have no other place available?

It is not permissible to use a venue of shirk and kufr such as a church for Salaat. The excuse of there being no other venue is blatantly baseless. Salaat may be performed anywhere in the open, in your yard, storeroom, garage, etc., but not in a church.
