In Fajr Salaat, if the Imaam is a Hanafi what should the Shaafi' muqtadi do regarding Qunoot?
Answer
If the Imaam is a Hanafi, then it is necessary for the Shaafi' Muqtadi to recite a very short Qunoot consisting of just one line or so. This should be done in its proper place, that is, in Qaumah in the second raka't. Then he should link up with the Imaam in Sajdah. This will suffice. However, if he does not recite Qunoot, then the only compensation is Sajdah Sahw.
