I have seen a person giving Athaan with his hands at his sides. He does not place his fingers in his ears. Is the Athaan valid?
Answer
According to the Maaliki Math-hab, it is permissible to leave the hands at the side, and not place the fingers in the ears. The Muath-thin most probably is a Maaliki.
